Pakistan chased down the target of 256 runs in the 49th over at the loss of 4 wickets 

Pakistan defeated New Zealand by 6 wickets in the first One day International at National Bank Cricket Arena in Karachi to take 1-0 lead in the 3 match series. New Zealand scored 255 runs in 50 overs. Bracewell scored 43, Tom Latham 42, Glenn Philips 37 and Daryl Mitchel 36 runs. Naseem Shah took 5 wickets for 57 runs in 10overs. Naseem Shah played important role in restricting New Zealand on 255 runs. 

Pakistan chased down the target of 256 runs at the loss of 4 wickets. Muhammad Rizwan scored 77 runs, Babar Azam 66 and Fakhar Zaman 55 runs. New Zealand failed to defend 255 runs against spirited Pakistani batting.
