Ecuador defeated Qatar 2-0 in the opening match of the FIFA world cup in Qatar. Enner Valencia scored both the goals in the first half. Both teams failed to score a goal in the second half. Qatar and Ecuador are in the group A with Netherlands and Senegal. Two teams will advance to the knockout stage of the tournament. Ecuador dominated the match.
