Pakistan defeated New Zealand in the final of tri-series

 Pakistan chased down the target of 164 runs in 19.3 overs at the loss of 5 wickets

Pakistan defeated New Zealand by 5 wickets in the final of tri-series. It is a big win to gain the confidence just before the T20 World Cup in Australia. Pakistan chased down the target of 164 runs in last over. Muhammad Nawaz , Haider Ali and Iftikhar Ahmad contributed in the victory with 38, 31 and 25 runs innings with strike rate of more than 200.

Muhammad Nawaz declared man of the match while Michael Bracewell declared player of the series.  

New Zealand scored 163 runs in 20 overs. Kane Williamson was top scorer with 59 runs. Harris Rauf took 2 for 22. Naseem Shah was expensive and conceded 58 runs in 4 overs.

Pakistan just scored 63 runs in first 10 overs but accelerated in last 10 overs. Bracewell put brakes on Pakistani scoring as just conceded 14 runs in 4 overs and picked up two wickets. Leg spinner Sodhi was hammered by Pakistani batmen who conceded 58 runs in 4 overs.   Pakistani middle order played well as top order was back in the pavilion. Pakistani middle order showed its real potential in the final.
