Election Commission decided to postponed the 2nd phase of local government elections in Sindh

 The second phase of local government elections will be held on August 28, 2022

The Election Commission of Pakistan has decided to postponed the second phase of Sindh local government elections scheduled for July 24. Now the LG elections in Sindh will be held on August 28. The decision was taken on the request of Chief Secretary Sindh, MQM and other political parties. 
The Chief Secretary Sindh cited the Met department prediction for heavy moon soon in Karachi on July 22. Now the LG election will be held after 10 Muharam.
The MQM also requested to postponed the elections to amend the local government law.
