According to the Karachi police officials dealing with the blast have told the media that blast seems to be a suicide one carried out by a female bomber. The further investigations are still going on. "We suspect that it's a suicide attack. A burqa-clad woman approached near the van and the blast took place," said Karachi police chief Ghulam Nabi Memon. The police chief added that they were probing the attack further and collecting evidence and it "looks like that Chinese teachers were the actual target".
