Quetta blast-3 people martyred and 24 injured as an explosion rocks Quetta

Three people including DSP police martyred and 24 injured in a blast in Quetta. The explosion took place at
Quetta's Jinnah Road. The blast took place near a police mobile.
The Quetta DIG police Fida Hussain have confirmed the blast and loss of lives. All the wounded individuals have been shifted to Quetta's Civil Hospital, the DIG said, according to the report.
Speaking to the media, DIG Operations Fida Hussain said that a police mobile from the City police station was in the area around 7pm when a loud explosion took place. He said that the nature of the incident was being ascertained, but added that 2-2.5 kilogrammes of explosive material was used.
The DIG Hussain also identified one of the deceased as a DSP, adding that 24 people including police officials has been injured in the blast.

Hospital Spokesperson Dr Waseem Baig said that the injured were being
transported to the hospital for medical treatment.
