Argentine
football legend Diego Maradona has died at the age of 60. He is reported to
have suffered a cardiac arrest at his home in Tigre, Buenos Aires, where he had
been recovering after a brain surgery in November.
Maradona is considered as one of the greatest
soccer players of all time, enjoying successful spells with Barcelona, Napoli,
and the Argentine national team, with whom he won the World Cup in 1986.
He was
considered as one of the all-time greatest of the game alongside with Brazil's
Pele and English Football legend George Best. He was also known for his leftwing political
views. He was staunch supporter of Socialist Cuba and Chavez led Venezuela.
