15 martyred including soldiers and nearly 30 injured in a blast in Quetta

As we reported earlier, a blast in Quetta killed and injured many. Now the ISPR  has confirmed that a suicide bomber riding on a motor bike hit the military truck carrying soldiers in the Pishin stop area of Quetta. The ISPR also confirmed that 8 army soldiers martyred in this barbaric attack and 10 soldiers have been injured. It is now clear that the soldiers were the target of this suicide attack.

The injured have been shifted to different hospitals in Quetta. The security forces have cordon off the area.A huge fire erupted after the explosion that engulfed four auto rickshaws, four cars and two motorbikes. Officials fear death toll my rise. An state of emergency has been declared in the hospitals of Quetta. 

It seems that the main purpose of this attack is to sabotage the independence day parade in Quetta. Quetta is not just the provincial capital and largest commercial hub of Baluchistan province but also the main Centre of the Pak-China Economic Corridor (CPEC). Lot of development activities are taking place in Baluchistan. The terrorists are trying to sabotage the development work and efforts to maintain peace and calm in the province.
