Shahid Khaqan Abbasi will be next Prime minister

The parliamentary party of ruling PML-N decided to bring in Shahid Khaqan Abbasi as prime minister for an interim period of less than two months. The parliamentary party met for the first time since the ouster of Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif from his office. Shahid Khaqan Abbasi will be prime minister until Punjab Chief Minister and young brother of ousted prime minister Shahbaz Sharif replace him.

Abbasi is a former federal minister and five time member parliament from National Assembly constituency consists of Murree , Kotli Sattian and Kahuta tehsils of district Rawalpindi. His father was also remained federal minister. He considered very close to Sharif family and stood firmly with his party during the difficult times of Musharaf dictatorship. He will not face any serious challenge to his candidature in the parliament as PML-N and its allies has jumping majority.
