The book on legendary Khalid Iqbal launched

The book on legendary painter and great arts teacher Khalid Iqbal launched on Sunday at Ejaz Art Gallery Gulberg Lahore. The book written by his close friend and art lover Dr. Munawer Ahmed. The book launching ceremony was attended in big numbers by the friends, students and collegues of great khalid Iqbal and of Dr. Munawar ahmed.

The writter Dr. Munawar Ahmed and other speakers paid rich tribute to Khalid Iqbal as one of the greatest land scaope painter and human being. Speakers told the audience that Khalid Iqbal was a simple, modest, humble and quiet human being, who loved paintings. He He painted the landscape of Punjab like no other. His paintings have the depth and vastness. He was a old master admired by his friends and students alike.

The distinguished speakers who spoke at the launching ceremony were, Dr. Sajida Vandal former principal of NCA, Fakir Syed Aijazuddin, Saeed Akhter famous painter,  Nayyer Ali Dada noted architect, Dr. Rahat Naveed Masood, Dr. Rashid Latif Khan well known gynacalogist and writter of the book Dr. Munawar Ahmed.

The speakers also praised the role of the writter Dr. Munawar Ahmed not only in promoting the art but also helping the poor and needy. it was revealed that Dr sb is running a free clinic in Gawalmandi for many decades.

The exhibition of artworks of Khalid iqbal was also launched in the Ejaz Art gallery after the launch of the book. The exhibition will continue till 18th January.
