Punjab Transport Authority declared Uber and Careem illegal

The Punjab Provincial Transport Authority declared the taxi service provider Uber and Careem illegal in Lahore. The authority took the action as both service providers are not registered with any regulatory body in Punjab. The authority justified the ban and explained that both companies are not following the laws and rules of the transport authority and continued the violations.

The Sindh government is also preparing the same sort of ban on both companies in Sindh province. The Sindh government also want to ban the websites of the companies to stop their complete operations.

The consumers are not happy with the ban as they were enjoying ride in reasonable price.
